Dear parent

     Thank you for your interest in Tall Paul’s Secret Magic Club.  You may be wondering why I need all this information I ask for.  I would like your name because when I send stuff too your child through the mail, I address it to you.  I remember as a kid, I thought it was so cool to get stuff in the mail.  Times have changed and I know you would like to see what your child is receiving.  The email is for videos that teach a variety of skills including magic, juggling, and even how to make balloon animals.  I’m assuming that the email will be yours so you can see the videos I send.  I highly recommend learning from the videos as a family.  I know you’ll enjoy it too.  The child’s name is needed because this is a magic club for them and it’s important for me to know who is in it.  Knowing the birth date is super important.  I send things like birthday cards and magic tricks in the mail.  In the interest of full disclosure, I also send you a reminder that you can have me at the birthday party too.  This will relieve some stress on your part when it comes to planning because it’s one less thing for you to worry about.   Gender is simply so I know. Occasionally, with names from other cultures, I have no clue by just a name on a piece of paper. Do you remember the old SNL skit with Pat? That can happen in any culture.  Your mailing address is so I can send all the fun stuff.  Last but not least, the phone number is needed in case there’s something I can’t read which is why I prefer to have an adult to fill out the form.  The main reasons for that is, A, Adults write better than children so the form is easier to read… unless it’s my writing, then a kid’s writing would be more legible.  And B, If an adult fills the form out, I know the child has permission to join.  The last thing I want to do is send unwanted things to your email and home.  If there is something I can’t read, I can just call and ask. Don’t worry, I won’t give, trade, or sell any of the info provided. 

P.S. did I mention that the entire club is free?  Well If I didn’t, the club is free.  Well mostly free.  It will cost a stamp to send the application to me. 

P.P.S.  Please send one application per child.  I file them by birthday so I can send the gifts during the right time a year.  If there’s more than one child on the form, I won’t know which date is for which child.  You are welcome to staple several applications together so you can use one stamp.
